MLM: Need some VoiceMail Magic?

As you create your DMO, phoning people may be part of it and one thing I learned is you can’t bury your head in the sand when it comes to dealing with voice mail in cold market prospecting. So if you are buying MLM leads you have probably already found that you average 50 percent live contacts and 50 percent voice mail messages during any one week of prospecting calls. More importantly, you want to get seven out of ten prospects to return your call within 24 hours.

How is this possible in the cold market?

With what I like to call “voice mail magic.”

There are two critical elements to developing a voice mail message that prospects can’t resist. The first element is the “words you use”. The worst mistake you can make is to “wing it” when you leave a message for someone in the cold market. Always remember that the cold market doesn’t know you, doesn’t care about you, and if you don’t get their attention in the first ten seconds, it’s over. They will erase your message and go on to the next 25 messages they have waiting for them.

Here are the exact words I use to get a 70 percent call back return: Read the rest of this entry »

Enhance your Personal Performance with these 3 Steps

CLARITY OF OUTCOME: Before you begin any endeavor, know in advance exactly what you expect your outcome to be. By getting clear on your outcome, you will be using the awesome force of what I call the FUTURE PULL…In other words, the future you create for yourself pulls you closer to it and empowers you to take the proper actions in the present… So before you do anything else as it relates to your personal or professional life, take time to get crystal clear on what your desired outcome will be…See it in your mind’s eye until you feel really emotional about it…

CONSOLIDATION OF POWER: It simply means FOCUS… Since you have a certain amount of time, energy, and money to devote towards accomplishing your outcome, it’s important to know which activities you should direct your resources towards. If you don’t take the time to determine which of the multitude of possible activities will provide you with the highest payoff, you may find yourself squandering much of your resources. Thus, the 80/20 rule applies here. The 80/20 rule states that 80% of your results will come from 20% of your activities. Therefore, it’s important for you to Read the rest of this entry »

MLM: No Sales Required

Have you worked like crazy in your Network Marketing opportunity for months or years, talked to hundreds, maybe thousands of prospects, and achieved very little result? Ever wonder why those ex-truck drivers and ex-welfare moms posing next to their Lamborghinis and million dollar homes can do it and you can’t?  Have you ever thought “What’s wrong with me?”

If so, you’re in good company. Thousands of would-be successful distributors are giving up or starting over yet one more time, and most of them are headed for a familiar dead-end result. You see, they lack one little piece of vital information. If they knew and accepted this little morsel of truth, a futile and continuous round of failure would be transformed into a path of assured success and fulfillment. It would transform their hours of teeth-clenching and gut-wrenching “working the numbers” into pleasant exchanges with interested and qualified prospects, many of whom would join their organizations. Knowing this tidbit can do the same for you!

What is this closely held and much-denied secret? It is that effective Network Marketing requires selling!

Horrors! You say they told you that you didn’t have to be a salesperson? There it was, right there in their ad: “No Selling Required!” They said, “Just share the products and the opportunity with a few others, help them do the same!” They may have overstated the simplicity and ease just a bit. For Tough Decisions…toss a coin

This idea is something that I occasionally use if I have a particularly tough decision to make.

Just because of its simplicity you may not believe that it works - but believe me, it certainly does!

OK. Let’s assume that you have a decision to make - you must chose option ‘A’ or option ‘B’. You’re torn between each one for their own reasons, and therefore there is no ‘out-and-out’ winner.

Here’s what you do. Toss a coin. One choice is heads - the other tails. Whichever way it lands - that’s the option you choose.  Listen to what your inner voice tells you and how you feel when the choice is decided?

Are you even slightly disappointed at the outcome? If you are - then you know that that choice is NOT the one for you and that you should choose the other one that the toss of the coin DIDN’T select.

This is an excellent way of really finding out which option you are more happy with - and it works every time.

Action Point:
What ’split’ decisions can you toss a coin on?

This exercise is perhaps more useful than you imagine.

Listening to your inner voice is an excellent way to make some serious improvements in your life.

Very few people listen to their ‘gut feelings’ where decisions are concerned and you will find that those that do are the successful ones!

In MLM, Never Accept Second Best

The world is changing.

The emphasis is shifting from quantity…to quality.

People want the best…not necessarily the fastest. They want value for money…not cheap and nasty.

Do you feel as if you are only putting in enough effort just to “get by”? Do you do what you feel is expected of you…and no more?

Wouldn’t you be disappointed if you noticed that someone wasn’t “pulling his or her weight”? How do you know that people aren’t thinking the same about you?

You wouldn’t accept second best if you had the choice – so why choose to give only “second best” in your MLM business…or in your relationships…or in your own self-development?

Action Point:

In what ways can you move away from second-best both at home and in your MLM business?

Sometimes…it’s the little things that make a big difference. Just an extra five minutes effort here…or an extra touch there…or even a thirty-second follow-up phone call.

Don’t settle for second-best in anything that you do…the only person who will lose out in the long run is you!

Feature: Who Are You to Your MLM Prospects?

If I mention the words “photocopier” or “overnight delivery” or “personal computer,” chances are that a specific brand name immediately pops into your mind. When you go to the grocery store, don’t you gravitate toward certain products over and over because you know them by name and think to look for them each time you walk down the aisles?

In each of these situations, you’re activating “mental shelf space” — the automatic association of a product or service with the person or organization delivering it. That is the kind of powerful mental connection that each of us needs to develop for our MLM business. If you’re an expert Networker, not only will the people you know think about you when the MLM product or MLM service you’re associated with comes up in conversation, but your name rolls off their tongues as quickly as the recognized brand of overnight delivery service.

Please understand, we’re not talking about a right or wrong way to network. Even a broken clock is right twice a day; however, different Networking styles produce different results. Is your Networking style appropriate for you, your Networking partners, your markets, your MLM products and services, and your own goals and objectives? Will it bring you to the results you’re after? Only you can answer these questions.

Take a moment to think — when your network of acquaintances thinks about you, what do you guess comes to mind? Analyst, insurance person, that guy from the office, international marketer? You know the saying, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”? Ask yourself who knows you. Do they know what you can do for them? When they think of the MLM product or service you provide, do they automatically pull your name off the shelf? There’s no reason they shouldn’t; you need to decide what perception you want to create of yourself.

I tell my prospective MLM distributors that passively thinking about something does nothing for their wallets. Remember when you were growing up, and people told you to “think before you speak”? Sage advice to be sure, but focused, targeted action must follow the thoughts!

You and I will work very hard over our lifetimes. Hard work is not the challenge. Working smart is. Short of scientific inquiry and space exploration, there’s not a lot of “new” information; this means it’s in your power today, through your choice of a Networking approach, to create mental shelf space for yourself in enough people’s minds to build a booming MLM business.

What style are you employing and what methods are you using to become known to your MLM target market? Read the rest of this entry »

The Ten Commandments Of Leadership

When Mother Theresa was alive, a poem hung on the wall of her orphanage in India, I would like to believe it is still there.

For all who are called to lead, and MLM Network Marketing IS a leadership call, it is a great reminder of what we should do:

People are illogical, unreasonable and self-centered (including me). Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the littlest people with the littlest ideas. Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs, but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.  Build anyway.

People really need help, but may attack you if you do help them. Help them anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the best you have anyway.

I hope this touches your heart as it has touched mine and you will lead your efforts in your MLM business this way.  I believe it is a true sponsors calling.
