Where are the so-called Professional MLM Network Marketers?

Back on March 13, 2004 at 10:45am a Motion to Form the Distributor Rights Association was placed on the floor of the Clarion Hotel, Las Vegas, at a deliberative assembly open to anyone involved with the MLM Industry and unanimously passed by the audience of approx 80 Professional Network Marketers along with some Corporate Executives and MLM Attorneys that represent companies and distributors.

And on that same evening, the operational structure and Board of Directors and Officers were nominated and unanimously voted on… so that a Staff was in place to begin creating a Voice for all Independent Contractors who call themselves MLM’ers/Network Marketers! (approx 13M in US).

The attorney panel was awesome as we drafted, and voted on the standards to be published in the 1st Edition of the “Independent Contractor’s Global Standards and Education for Companies and Distributors” now published and available to any one who becomes a member or wants to buy a copy. Robert’s Rules of Order was used and adopted by this deliberative assembly to keep parliamentary order and parallel early American legislative procedure. Read the rest of this entry »

Are you Familiar with S.I.N.A.L.O.A

The reason why some people don’t do well in an MLM  business is because they don’t understand what they get paid for.  As an MLM Distributor, you do not get paid for making sales or sponsoring others, you get paid for talking to people!  If you talk to enough people on a consistent, daily basis, results (i.e., making sales and enrolling others) are automatic!

One of the most important concepts for every new distributor to understand is S.I.N.A.L.O.A. (Safety In Numbers And Law Of Averages).  S.I.N.A.L.O.A. means that if you do something consistently, over a prolonged period of time, the numbers will always produce a Law of Averages for you.  This is a great MLM Accountability technique for you to easily grasp.

For example, suppose you were to pass out 250 business cards this week, and that as a result of passing out those cards you made 5 sales for a total profit of $50.  Your law of averages would be that, for every 250 business cards you pass out, you get paid .20 per card – regardless of how people respond!  Whether someone calls or doesn’t call, whether someone says yes or no, you get paid .20 for every card you pass out and for every person you talk to!

And that’s where the Safety in Numbers part of the equation comes in.  If you pass out another 250 business cards, chances are excellent that you will make another $50, profit or .20 per card.

Once you have established your Law of Averages, by talking to enough new people every day, achieving your goals becomes automatic!

You see when you keep records of what activities you are doing it enables you to clearly SEE your Law of Averages.  Once you have established your Law of Averages, you will then know exactly what to do every day to achieve your Business Plan.

So the key here is to keep good records of what you’re doing and follow your DMO consistently!

Contrary to what the old adage suggests, practice doesn’t make perfect, Practice makes Permanent!  Whatever we do on a daily basis becomes part of our permanent habit patterns.  By consistently applying what you learn, you will develop the right habits – Permanently!  Discipline habits.  Commitment habits.  Attitude habits.  Consistency habits – all of the habits you need not only to build a thriving business, but to enjoy a lifetime of wealth and happiness.

What you do with what you learn is going to determine what lies ahead for you.  If you practice this new concept consistently, then what lies ahead for you is a future filled with exciting personal challenges and phenomenal personal growth.  How high you climb toward the summit of achievement, however, is entirely in your hands.  You are the variable that is going to determine where these new concepts take you in the months ahead.

You could be discussing the activities you are engaging in and trying to determine your S.I.N.A.L.O.A., with your upline.  It shows them you want to be accountable for your MLM success.

Are you a Good Boss for yourself?

Over this 3 day holiday, I got together with some of my MLM leaders and we discussed what makes one person oustanding in the business, while another might flounder.  It got down to a discussion of habits.

To be a success in your MLM business; it is essential to take a closer look at your habits.  Some people will enroll and they have habits that are conducive to getting them off to a quick start and keeping themselves on the right track.  Others come laden with habits that are detrimental to establishing or sustaining any serious momentum. Building Trust, Admiration and Respect will further your MLM Business

In today’s world of over-selling, hype and fraud at the highest levels of our society, nothing could be more important to an MLM distributor and MLM business owner than building trust, admiration and respect with prospects, customers and associates. Most of us are in a highly suspect business to begin with. Network Marketing, to some people, does not spell value, honor and integrity. Yet to us it does. So how do we bridge the gap and shine some light on what we see in our chosen profession?

Trust

Trust is obviously not given automatically. It must be earned. Too often, we take it for granted — either because we trust ourselves, trust others or fail to recognize in the moment how others may see our offer of financial gain. Trust is earned through what we say and what we do. In these actions we must become predictable and believable to others. Read the rest of this entry »

MLM: No Sales Required

Have you worked like crazy in your Network Marketing opportunity for months or years, talked to hundreds, maybe thousands of prospects, and achieved very little result? Ever wonder why those ex-truck drivers and ex-welfare moms posing next to their Lamborghinis and million dollar homes can do it and you can’t?  Have you ever thought “What’s wrong with me?”

If so, you’re in good company. Thousands of would-be successful distributors are giving up or starting over yet one more time, and most of them are headed for a familiar dead-end result. You see, they lack one little piece of vital information. If they knew and accepted this little morsel of truth, a futile and continuous round of failure would be transformed into a path of assured success and fulfillment. It would transform their hours of teeth-clenching and gut-wrenching “working the numbers” into pleasant exchanges with interested and qualified prospects, many of whom would join their organizations. Knowing this tidbit can do the same for you!

What is this closely held and much-denied secret? It is that effective Network Marketing requires selling!

Horrors! You say they told you that you didn’t have to be a salesperson? There it was, right there in their ad: “No Selling Required!” They said, “Just share the products and the opportunity with a few others, help them do the same!” They may have overstated the simplicity and ease just a bit. Network Marketing: Niche to get Rich

Once you define your MLM niche, you are likely to find many other niches within it.

A niche is a clear subset of a larger category.

Home-based entrepreneurs, pet owners, computer users, chocolate lovers and gardeners are all separate niches. Some consumers might belong to several of those niches.

An example of what a niche market is not: “People who want to learn how to shoot better scores in golf.”

In this example, there are far too many people within the main category (golf) to make this a true niche. Virtually everyone who plays golf will want to play better and shoot better scores so this wouldn’t qualify as a niche, much less a category worth pursuing.

An example of a niche market: “Women who play golf who want to learn how to drive the ball longer and straighter.”

This would be a niche because it clearly defines and segments who you’ll cater to and why they would need your service. Read the rest of this entry »
