How much time does it take to create success for any MLM Business?

When I was 21 years old, my mentor asked me what I thought the value of an hour was. I honestly did not know how to answer the question. He went on to teach me one of the most valuable lessons I have ever learned.

He suggested that the value of an hour was priceless. This confused me some, so this is what he said to me.

If you invest one hour each day in understanding yourself and your environment better, you will accumulate nine 40-hour weeks over the course of a year!

Yikes!

As you can imagine I was blown away when he put it to me that way.

11 Factors stopping You from signing up your MLM Leads

Have you ever been certain an MLM lead was going to join your group, only to have him turn you down? Do you struggle to bring people into the business, while others in your company have much higher success rates? Have you ever wondered why some people, who are obviously “perfect” for the business, never even seriously consider it?

The answer to all these scenarios may be one or more of the 11 little-known but critical factors in play throughout your recruiting process. Each of these 11 factors has a serious effect on the ways prospects view both you and your MLM opportunity.  In fact, if you didn’t cover these with your current Reps, you will see they come in play there, too!

MLM: Need some VoiceMail Magic?

As you create your DMO, phoning people may be part of it and one thing I learned is you can’t bury your head in the sand when it comes to dealing with voice mail in cold market prospecting. So if you are buying MLM leads you have probably already found that you average 50 percent live contacts and 50 percent voice mail messages during any one week of prospecting calls. More importantly, you want to get seven out of ten prospects to return your call within 24 hours.

How is this possible in the cold market?

With what I like to call “voice mail magic.”

There are two critical elements to developing a voice mail message that prospects can’t resist. The first element is the “words you use”. The worst mistake you can make is to “wing it” when you leave a message for someone in the cold market. Always remember that the cold market doesn’t know you, doesn’t care about you, and if you don’t get their attention in the first ten seconds, it’s over. They will erase your message and go on to the next 25 messages they have waiting for them.

The Newspaper is a Goldmine for your MLM Business

Are you struggling to find good MLM leads?  Did you know the newspaper is invaluable as a resource of these leads?

 Want to find MLM leads and have a tax advantage at the same time? I scour the daily newspaper for leads (our accountant deducts 100 percent of our newspaper subscription) looking for such things as new business openings, birth announcements, special events, promotions, and job fairs to name a few.

Most Common Mistakes of a Newbie MLM Networker

When you just get started online, it’s tough…you have a lot to learn and you don’t even know the questions to ask.  I know, I’ve been there.  I was willing to just ask a lot of questions (some were really, really dumb) and I usually asked the smartest people I could find.

Here’s a few of the most common mistakes so you can avoid them and get started right:

Do NOT use FREE email addresses…no hotmail, no yahoo, no gmail.  It doesn’t give you any credibility and if you want to make money online…You don’t want to look like your broke!  Free email addresses don’t cut it!  Even aol usernames keep you anonymous.  Unless it is really descriptive of you and part of who you are online, change the aol username!

You need to recognize that most of the internet use FREE email addresses for JUNK email or a throwaway account and frankly I never take anyone seriously when I see them use a FREE email address.  I don’t care if you’re paying for it! Read the rest of this entry »

Identifying Markets of Great MLM Prospects

We talked about internet stats, so let’s see how you can identify your market for your MLM business.

One of the things that I think is very different between the online and offline markets is that it’s so much easier to find a market within any variety of niches.   The research is readily available to identify the number of people within a niche, how big it is and where to communicate with that market.  It’s so easy online, whereas it’s more difficult and time-consuming offline.

 And new market niches constantly pop up.  These niches are not big enough to go offline; they’d cost too much to get to. But online, you have people that are congregating in one spot from all over the world at one web site, or one e-mail list, or one forum. Read the rest of this entry »
